What is triathlon?

Triathlon is a multi-discipline sport consisting of swimming, cycling and running, in that order. There are a number of distances for triathlon, ranging from Super-sprint to long distance endurance events.

Does the club have a waiting list to join?

We cannot accept new members at this time as we are currently at capacity for training members. If you would like to be considered for membership, please contact us via the online form to be added to the waiting list.

How far/fast do I need to be able to swim before joining a club session?

We currently require that you are able to swim 100m freestyle, unassisted and without stopping. This ensures that you are able to fully enjoy the coached swim sessions provided.

Do you have qualified coaches in the club?

We have a number of Level 1 and Level 2 qualified triathlon coaches in the club. All coached sessions will be led by one of our team of qualified coaches.

How many people are there in the club?

Our club has a membership base of 115 training members. This figure is reviewed regularly.

What are the club membership fees?

Full training membership is £32 per month. All club training sessions are included in these fees. There are no hidden costs. All members will be required to pay an annual membership fee to Welsh Triathlon as part of our affiliation to the national body. This will also cover insurance and race licences.
