Welsh Border Ride Update 2

The important bits of the info below are

Don't buy train tickets when they go up, I can get a 25% group discount.

Expecting the cost of the weekend to be about £56 for a fully supported, guarenteed great ride. Only extra cost daytime snacks and evening ale.

13 riders showing interest. Space for more....

Looking for a deposit of £36 when you can commit.Cheers

I was planning to hold on the food as I'd be writing a cheque for over £400 but everyone I've seen or who have posted seem favourable so I thought "what the hell".

As such I'll now get a small book and start taking payment and record details. Therefore costs are £32 for accommodation and meals (lunch not included). This will leave travel costs plus food enroute which should come in at about £20 each. I'll work this part out when train tickets are sorted. This assumes a few things....

12 riders come, 4 people travel up with me thereby saving 4 train tickets, the group are happy to cover my van fuel and Ali's accomm/food for the luxury of having a dedicated broom and support wagon.

Therefore all up for a fully supported (and recce'd route) 2 day ride, dinner and bandb £56.

Only other expense should be snacks during the day and ale on Saturday.

£36 anytime

Hi Elaine, thanks I was right the first time. It is £32, broken down as shown above. Even cheaper! If everyones cool with covering Ali's costs as support I've included that in the roughly £20 travel costs.

Thanks Andy, though I still don't get the YHA costs- 16 + 10 + 6 = £32. Or is the additional £4 each to cover Alison's bed and board?

Either way, it sounds like it'll be a great weekend and it's extremely kind of Alison to support us as broomwagon! I'll get the money to you ASAP, thanks for organising!
