Cardiff Triathletes

Cardiff Triathletes was formed in 1984 by a small group of people interested in the, then, new sport of triathlon.

The objectives of the club are to encourage and promote the sport of triathlon in the Cardiff and the surrounding area.

The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation via Welsh Triathlon and individual members are encouraged to join these organisations.

The Sunday swim sessions on 19 & 26 May 2013 will both commence at the contracted time of 16.00, at the Cardiff International Pool.

Swansea Masters Swimming (New)

A new Masters swim training group is starting in Swansea next week. Swim sessions will be on 5 evenings per week in either the Swansea National Pool or the Bishop Gore School.

The first Masters session will be on 20th May from 8-9 pm at Bishop Gore School and there will be 5 sessions a week available thereafter. Swimmers are not expected to attend every session!

'Not Quite as Steady' Ride - Sat 18th May - Route Change

Weather is looking a little better on Saturday and hope it stays that way or improves!!

Thinking of going a little longer but slightly less lumpy.  Due to additional distance, leaving at 8.30 instead of the usual 9am

Change of route from the original proposed due to westerly wind. 

Now heading to do the Bwlch the long way from Port Talbot.

Maindy - Llantrisant Road - Talbot Green - Heol Y Ciw - Sarn - Margam - Port Talbot - Afan Valley - Bwlch - Treorcy - Port - Ponty - Taffs Well - Maindy.

About 70 Miles

Newtown Sprint Triathlon

Newtown (Mid Wales) is holding a pool based sprint triathlon on Sunday 19thMay 2013. Distances are 400m pool swim, 22.5k bike and 5k run. Start time from 08.00 onwards. The cost is only £25, probably the cheapest triathlon in Wales 2013.

You have until Sunday 12 May 2013 at 17.00 to enter. Entry forms are available from www.maldwyn-leisurecentre.powys.gov.uk.

Interestingly Powys County Council is promoting the event. Good on em.
